It’s all in the title, but The Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is the story of Mikami Satoru who selflessly sacrifices himself to save one of his students and his girlfriend from a knife wielding attacker. As a result of his heroic act, he is reincarnated in another dimension… as a slime. Apparently his good act however blesses him with a computer system (or sage) that is basically all knowing. This turns the little jelly blob that we normally love to kill in our MMO games into a god-like creature with a kind heart that can destroy literally everything he encounters.
Other than giving away its plot in its title, the time I got reincarnated as a slime seems to be just like any other reincarnation genres such as “In another world with my smartphone, or “started as a death march.” However I really have to give it props for not being a harem anime right out of the gate despite its title artwork hinting otherwise. This slimy tale gets 3 out of five stars for me.
